I will be taking a trip out toward Grand Teton and Yellowstone, toward the end of May. Driving an RV with my eldery parents, so my hiking to good photo places will be limited. We are towing a vehicle, so I am not limited to the RV driving. Any particular recommendations from you personally. I do have Canon 7D, with several good lenses. I use mostly a Cokin Circular Polarizer P164, so I can use it on the various lenses. Is that good enough to compensate for the glare, that I will encounter.

I love that picture of the Grizzly shaking the water off! I have friends that live in Alaska, although they are closer to the capitol. I very much like reading about other's experiences. It's easy to forget that Alaska is our biggest state and easily engulfs a large portion of the main portion of the USA. It's really just a giant wilderness! Beautiful photographs, of a wonderful part of the world!

I laughed when I read the part where that guy offered you camels. This is something a lot of middle easterners do, I have run across this myself. Their culture, concerning women, is drastically different from Europe and the Americas. I'd imagine his offer was in part serious, and another part joking. I am convinced he would have gone through with this deal had you accepted it. I have had Afghani's offer me goats in exchange for a young female marine that I was friends with while I was deployed there. They are really quite serious about that kind of thing. Being from a drastically different culture, and unable to take them seriously, it's really just kind of a big joke to us.

If ever I find myself in Rome, I think I might never want to leave, so many places and things to occupy ones time, and all of it would require(for me) a life time to appreciate.

Nice reflection on your trip. Having been to Alaska and to Denali (like you, the bus!), you leave knowing that you will go back! Too much to see and do in three days (and I feel that way about the 10 days I stayed...)
